Return Policy
Return & Refund Policy
At Gammas Art Gallery, we are privileged to curate a unique assortment of exquisite Thangka paintings, each one handcrafted by highly skilled artisans nestled in the tranquil heartland of Nepal and Tibet. Our collection reflects the fusion of profound spirituality, intricate artistry, and traditional craftsmanship. Each artwork, thus, is not merely an object, but a priceless heirloom, carrying with it a fragment of our shared human heritage.
Our Quality Assurance
Every piece of art that graces our collection undergoes a scrupulous inspection and certification process. This painstaking approach ensures that only the very best, those that meet our stringent quality benchmarks, make their way into the gallery.
Appreciating the Thangka Distinctiveness
The nature of Thangka paintings - their uniqueness, their delicate fabrication, and their cultural significance - makes each piece a unique embodiment of tradition and skill. Minor nuances in detail and form are a part of this charm, adding to the individual character of each artwork rather than detracting from its overall beauty.
Pre-Purchase Assistance
Recognising the importance of an informed decision, we encourage you to engage with our knowledgeable staff for a comprehensive understanding of any artwork that piques your interest. We are more than willing to provide additional photographs, detailed narratives, or any supplementary information, ensuring you appreciate every facet of your chosen piece before completing your purchase.
Our Promise
Our commitment to you extends beyond the artwork you choose to take home. It involves providing an exceptional experience of art appreciation, informed decision-making, and post-purchase satisfaction. We value your trust in Gammas Art Gallery, and we strive to meet and exceed your expectations at every step of this artistic journey.
Our Return Philosophy & The 14-Day Guarantee
Given the delicate nature of authentic Thangka paintings and their irreplaceable artistic value, the acquisition of each masterpiece is a significant event. To ensure you are entirely satisfied with your purchase, we invite you to request additional images, videos, and historical information about your chosen artworks before finalizing your order.
We stand behind the museum-grade quality of our collection. In accordance with European online acquisition standards, Gammas Art Gallery offers a 14-day return window for our standard gallery inventory. This window is strictly reserved for instances where an artwork arrives with significant damage, structural defects, or if there is a fundamental discrepancy between the artwork received and its curatorial description.
Exemptions for Bespoke & Commissioned Artworks
Please note that custom art commissions—where a Thangka is specifically painted, tailored, or personalized to a client's specific design brief—are exempt from the 14-day return policy. Due to their bespoke nature, commissioned artworks are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Managing Unforeseen Issues
If you encounter a significant defect or discrepancy upon receiving a standard inventory painting, please contact our curatorial team at info@gammas.com within 14 days of delivery. We approach every instance with a highly personalized strategy to resolve the concern to your absolute satisfaction.
Guidelines for Secure Returns
If a return is authorized, the artwork must be returned in its original, pristine condition using the original protective packaging.
-
Refunds: Once the artwork is received and its condition is verified by our gallery team, we will issue a full refund of the artwork's purchase price to your original payment method within seven business days. We do not charge restocking fees.
-
Shipping Responsibilities: Secure return shipping costs, along with any associated international transit insurance, duties, or customs fees, are the sole responsibility of the collector. We strictly require that all returned artworks are shipped with premium tracking and full insurance, as Gammas Art Gallery cannot be held liable for masterpieces lost or damaged during return transit. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Repairs and Restorations
In the unfortunate event that your Thangka painting suffers damage over time or due to unforeseen circumstances, we are more than happy to assist with repairs and restorations. Our team of art restoration professionals in Nepal are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and passion to bring your treasured artwork back to its original glory.
Complimentary Art Consultations
As part of our ongoing commitment to serving our patrons, we provide complimentary art consultations. These sessions are designed to help you explore your aesthetic preferences, better understand the spiritual significance of Thangka paintings, and provide insight into how to care for and preserve these invaluable pieces.

Additionally, we offer custom art commissions for our clients looking for a truly unique and personalised Thangka piece. Our artisans can create a bespoke piece tailored to your specific design brief and spiritual context, ensuring an artwork that's as unique as you.
Respecting Artistic Heritage
